Donate blood and earn points for your student council!
The Blood Donor Championship brings together student councils of vastly different sizes – ranging from small councils with around 100 to 150 students to large ones with nearly 10,000 students.
Large councils would hold an insurmountable advantage. Even if only 5% of a 10,000-student council donates (500 donations), they easily beat a small council of 150 members – even if 80% of them donate. Small councils wouldn't stand a chance.
In smaller councils, organizing groups (e.g., committee members or study groups) to donate together is much easier. A group of 10 people makes a massive percentage impact. Large councils would need to mobilize hundreds of students for the same effect. Small councils would have an unfair advantage.
To balance both worlds fairly, we apply a mathematical damping method using a power function (Members0.6).
Why 197? A scaling factor designed to keep point values manageable, yielding roughly 1 to 10 points per donation depending on council size.
Here is how many points 1 donation earns for each respective student council:
| Student Council | Member Count | Points per 1 Donation |
|---|
